Mission
FROM JAPAN Institute is a social enterprise established by Mr. Kageya,
Founder, to achieve the following missions through various cultural exchange programmes.
● Enrich learning and communities worldwide and deepen cross-cultural understanding
among countries through Japanese cultural sharing
● Promote Japanese culture and support Japanese citizen's efforts in making
Japanese tradition passed down through generations
● Develop citizens who are global minded, aware of social issues and dedicated
for better communities
Programs/Services
FROM JAPAN offers the following programs/services.
●"Japan Culture Weeks
-2 weeks, Japanese cultural sharing programme by sending a team of Japanese
citizens to local schools and organizations to introduce Japanese culture
to the student/residents.
- has been offered since 2010 in Garsatng, Lancs and Thanet, Kent in UK.
● Individual Intern/volunteer Placement
- Placement of individual Japanese interns abroad in various fields such
as education, social care, architecture, library, museum, businesses and
none profit sectors.
- Will be offered from early 2012.
Funding and Supports
From Japan Institute is mostly funded by program participants. We plan
to seek other sources of fund such as grants from foundation and sales
of donated Japanese items in Japan.
FROM JAPAN is supported by the following two none profit corporations where the founder of From Japan worked as intern(trainee) as part of the Non-profit Management Course.
Kodomo Gekijo"
- was organized in Fukuoka in 1966 with the objective of providing opportunities
for adults and children to develop cultural understanding together, by
enjoying and appreciating performances and the arts in their local areas.

-Have offered human development program for non-profit sector by partnering
Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, Japan.
