Organizing Game:

-The game is played between individuals or teams.
- The game will be assisted by a game director (for the team game), a reader and a judge.
- The reader can serve as judge if players are small in number

Before Playing

- Karuta game is played, sitting on floor soft mats or at table
- The picture card is spread out with alphabet face up so every one can see.
- The players sit around the picture cards, putting the hands on the knees.
- (Team game) The only first player sits and the rest of players queue up. The player will be switched whenever one card is taken.

How to play

(1) The reader reads the phrases on the reading card aloud one by one at random.
(2) The players try to find and touch the card before anyone else can. The first one to touch a card can take it.
(3) Continue the game until the last two cards are left
(4) The final card will be taken automatically by the player taking the second to last
(5) The winner of the game is the player (team) collecting the most picture cards.

Notes:
- The player (team) touching the wrong card needs to be off for the next play.
- The decision will be left to the judge if it is not clear who touches the card at first
